At first glance, this might seem like a really silly idea. I mean, if you have Nikon or Canon lenses, isn’t likely that you’d have a pretty sophisticated image capture device. Never the less, it’s still a very interesting device.
The $249 iPhone SLR mount allows iPhone 4 users to attach Nikon or Canon lenses to the mobile phone’s rear camera. with SLR Lenses, you have control of focus and depth of field in ways that you normally wouldn’t with a mobile phone camera. I don’t think there are any serious iPhone 4 feature films in our future, but creative filmmakers will find an appropriate use for a tool like this. What would you shoot with a rig light this?
