So it looks like F3 shooters will soon have a 14x servo zoom lens to play with. This $12,000 lens will be the first servo zoom lens thats built to cover this new breed of large sensor.
There are a few trade offs. It will only work on the F3, so AF100, FS100, Canon, Alexa, Red… Furgetaboutit! Also, it’s not the fastest lens in the world; f3.9-6.8. That can make zooming during a shoot a little tricky. But come on, your getting a 14x. S35, image stabilized lens for $12k (probably less) plus you get auto focus and iris, should you ever need it.
