For over a year I have been using Panasonic’s AG-HVX200 camera, which records high definition video to flash memory, or “P2″ cards. I have heard from many potential clients that while interested in using the camera - they are unsure of a tapeless workflow. The Spider Brace

This weekend I received a Spider Brace to use with my HVX200. It’s a simple shoulder mount, constructed of PVC plastic, that quickly attaches to you camera with a twist of a screw. The 1.5lbs of the brace is so minor it’s virtually a non issue. It only takes a couple of minutes to assemble the device. Just screw on the shoulder extension, position the handles, and lock everything in place with little locking pins and you ready to go. (more…)

Redrock M2 vs Cinevate Brevis35 (video)

This is not exactly a 1:1 comparison of the two adapters. The Brevis35 is so much faster than the M2, different f-stops were used to get proper exposure, so the depth-of-field is always greater for the Brevis35 in this test.http://www.richard-darge.com/m2brevis.htm
